Patient Participation Group

Our Patient Participation Group (PPG) meets to provide a forum for discussion about the practice.

What is the Patient Participation Group (PPG)?

The Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a group of patients who work alongside the surgery to help improve services for patients, staff and clinicians. Every GP practice in the NHS is encouraged to have a PPG to ensure that patients' voices are heard and valued.

Why Should I Join?

Whether you are a patient, carer, parent or family member, your experience and ideas can help shape the future of the practice. Joining the PPG gives you the opportunity to:

  • Share feedback and suggestions
  • Help improve patient experience and services
  • Represent the views of the wider patient community
  • Work together with staff to support positive change
  • Learn more about how the NHS and general practice work

You do not need any special experience — just an interest in helping your practice continue to improve.

How Often Does the Patient Participation Group Meet?

The PPG meets at the surgery every three months. We understand that people have busy lives, so meetings are held only a few times a year, and we welcome any level of involvement you can offer

Will My Views Be Heard?

Absolutely. Every suggestion and piece of feedback is listened to and considered carefully. While it may not always be possible to implement every idea, all contributions are valued and help us better understand patients' experiences.

We aim to work together in a spirit of openness, respect and collaboratio to identify practical ways to improve services for everyone.
