Madi Thomson
Gender: Female
Madi works at the practice Monday to Friday.
Madi is a GP Assistant (GPA) at the practice and plays a key role in supporting the duty doctors on a daily basis. Her role is closely focused on seeing patients who are already attending the surgery for appointments, helping to carry out investigations such as blood tests, blood pressure checks, ECGs and basic observations during the same visit, to save patients from needing to return at a later time.
She also supports the wider team by liaising with other healthcare professionals when urgent coordination is needed, helping to streamline patient care and to save GP time. In addition, she regularly supports the reception team in assisting patients with a range of queries and tasks, including helping patients access and use the NHS and proxy access, as a part of ensuring patients can access services as smoothly as possible.
Outside of work, Madi enjoys spending time with her family and going for walks with her dog.
